Hello guys! Another day another blog post. In the midst of putting together Winter’s issue, I am trying very hard to keep up with blogging. It’s easier said than done with a life to live too but I am here, with my fresh cup of tea ready to make the effort and show up for you all. After all – I started blogging because I love it. That’s what it is all about. Sometimes I feel we can lose touch of that along the way but I am enjoying writing about this product so so much, you’ll see why. Introducing; The Lambswool Roll Neck Jumper by Tom Lane. You may have seen it pop up in a few of my Instagram posts recently, it’s because I simply cannot get enough of it.
Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year for so many reasons, the beautiful colours the countryside produces, the crisp Autumnal mornings and the festive atmosphere as Christmas approached and so much more but I think above all it is the time of year where I can literally get away with wearing a jumper 24/7.Each year I tend to replenish my wardrobe and my selection of jumpers.
Some of you may have seen that today is officially ‘Small Business Saturday’ and so I felt that posting this blog post today would be appropriate. Of course, you can head to the high street and pick up a handful of bargain baggy jumpers but your purchase won’t make a real difference to anyone. Whereas, when you buy from a small, independent business, the care and quality of the product is bound to be (in most cases) far better but also every single purchase makes a difference and helps support that business.
Tom Lane is a luxury clothing and accessories brand founded by Jayne Ireland in 2015 after graduating from Falmouth University with a well-deserved degree in Fashion Design. Jayne runs the business from the family farm in Lincolnshire. You’ll most likely have seen Tom Lane’s stand at a number of the country shows up and down the country throughout the Summer.
Whilst I fell in love with the Lambswool Roll Neck Jumper, Tom Lane also offers a collection of high-quality, beautiful socks for every occasion along with some adorable Winter accessories like hand warmers, cashmere gloves and bobble hats!
Here is a closer look at the gorgeous jumper in question:
Yes, I know it is inside out but I think it is sometimes important to see the make-up of a product before you buy it. Sometimes itchy seams can really put you off but I want to assure you that is not the case with this little beauty.
The drop shoulders are hugely comfortable and really compliment the relaxed design of the jumper. The shoulders have a unique ribbed detailing which breaks up the design, offering something a little different.
It features splits at the side and the jumper hangs lower at the back which I utterly adore! It is an all-round comfy, country inspired quality jumper for the colder weather. That being said, it is light-weight and would do well as a Spring wardrobe feature too.I am by no means a ‘fashion expert’ but I like talking about what I do like and enjoy wearing. The fact that the jumper is made in England is also a huge tick in the right box for me!
Whilst I went for the lighter grey it is also available in a darker grey too and Jayne offers men’s jumpers too which are gorgeous and definitely worthy of pinching out of the wardrobe for yourself!
All of Jayne’s jumper designs are made from British-spun lambswool which is luxuriously soft and gentle on the skin. At £95 this is a premium addition to your Autumn/Winter wardrobe!
If you’re anything like me and love wearing a scarf with almost anything you can get away with, then this jumper is perfect! It looks great with a warm Winter scarf (as seen above by Hortons England) or similarly with a vibrant silk scarf too!
But now for me, it is time to snuggle up on the sofa and spend the afternoon escaping the wind and rain outside, whilst watching some of my favourite movies; Disney is definitely on the cards! The horse has been done and James is out shooting (is he crazy?!) so it’s time for a little bit of me-time!
Until next time…
Lots of love,
