Evening all; this is the perfect Sunday evening read.
Hasn’t the weather been utterly beautiful this weekend?!
The theme of this evening’s post?
Yeah, you read it right it’s a his & hers post! #couplegoals
Back in December I surprised James’ with the beautifully crafted Warwick – Feather & Shotgun Cartridge Shell belt in Chestnut for Christmas. Safe to say I think that ‘girl did good!’
Mackenzie & George have become somewhat of a country style icon over the last year or so and no wonder. Their unique designs are stunning.
Initially I presented James with The Warwick un-personalised, as wasn’t entirely sure what option he would like most and didn’t want to get it wrong on such a beautiful gift.
I waited until he had received the belt so he could choose for himself.
After I eventually managed to prize it off him for more than a day, I got in touch with Melanie and asked her about personalising James’ belt and she was more than happy too.
There are some fab options on the website for personalisation, we opted for initials in Gold Foil central at the back of the belt.
I was so envious of James’ belt I just couldn’t resist looking into getting my own.
I discussed with Melanie about which style she would recommend for me and eventually we went for the Drayton – Feather Belt in Chocolatewith Gold Foil personalisation on the front of the belt with the I.A.C.L initials.
These belts really are eye-catchers.
Launched in 2012, every belt is designed and crafted in Melanie and Christopher’s rural, family run workshop in Shropshire.
The use of real Guinea Fowl and Pheasant feathers is one of the ingredients that make these belts really unique.
The Drayton is the ideal choice for ladies as it is thinner which compliments the figure a little more than the wider style of The Warwick.
That isn’t to say the wider styles don’t look just as good as The Drayton.
‘This focus on the quality combined with designs that will never go out of fashion has steadily gained M&G a following as the go to place for those essentials that can transform any outfit – day or night, town or country.’
Both The Warwick and The Drayton are timeless pieces with quintessentially British country style attributes.
If you’re heading to any of the amazing horse trials, game fairs or county shows this Summer then a Mackenzie & George belt is a must have addition to your wardrobe!
We went out for a walk this morning in our M&G belts and with views on the farm like this we just had to snap some shots. I am wearing The Drayton in Chocolate (left) with a tied checked shirt , denim jeans rolled at the bottom with tan Chatham driving shoes and James (right) wears his Warwick in Chestnut.
This guy is not only my partner but my best friend and my rock.
He supports me in every single thing I do.
He also puts up with having his photo taken to show you all his beautiful belt without moaning or complaining.
I am one lucky lady!
Another thing to note is that the whole buying experience with M&G is second to none.
The belts arrived back with us in excellent time in beautifully designed draw string pouches to protect them. I think you’ll agree that even these looks luxurious.
At £119.00 for The Warwick and £89.99 for The Drayton both designs won’t break the bank and are luxury lifetime investments.
Whilst I have only had my Drayton just under a month you can genuinely feel the durable, long lasting quality of these products.
From the weight and feel of the vegetable tanned leather, and silky smooth full grain Nubuck lining to the solid brass buckles, you can really tell these belts will last!
These belts are hugely versatile too and can be worn with more formal outfits or equally they really step up a more casual outfit.
You will see me in mine throughout the Summer that is for sure!
I want to thank Melanie & Christopher for their amazing customer service and advice regarding the belts.
TIP: Although the feathers are treated with a specially formulated protection solution, if you wear them as much as we do, apply CLEAR gel nail varnish smoothly over the feathers to protect them and stop them from flaying through wear. So far, no problems, but I just like to be extra cautious as they are such special pieces.
Just to finish off, I want to thank every single person who has liked, followed or read any of my posts on here and social media over the last 7 months! I honestly couldn’t have done it without you and would not be this privileged and lucky to be able to work with the brands that I do without your on going support.
It means so much.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and are pleasantly full on roast dinner or BBQ food this sunny Sunday evening.
