Firstly, I want to thank everyone who has followed my journey up until this point, and to welcome those new followers too.
As I explained in a recent post of mine ‘Out with the old, in with the new…’ we have decided to rebrand ahead of the second issue this Winter.
For those of you who didn’t read that post, (and for those of you who did, please bare with me!) following the incredible and frankly overwhelming response to the launch issue last month, which resulted in an International sell out, we – over here at HQ have decided now is the appropriate time to not only change the name of the magazine but to rebrand completely.
I have grown and developed a HUGE amount as a person, on both a professional and personal level and for those of you who have followed my story from the beginning, you will be able to see that so has ‘It’s A Country Life.’ Our website now – is miles apart from the one I had this time last year… but this is all a part of the learning curve and the building of a new, unique and fantastic brand that is set to take the industry by storm!
Along with this, we have been watched closely over the last month or so by some of the really big boys and having put the magazine directly in front of the big guns, I can safely say that I am flattered somewhat and take it as a compliment that they find themselves seeing little old me as a threat. Following this, and the above reasons we have made this decision to avoid any confusion or conflict further down the line.
Onwards & upwards towards bigger and better things.
I opened up suggestions for a new name to you guys – my followers, and I have to say you came up with some brilliant ideas! So thank you to everyone who submitted their ideas.
I did however, have a couple of thoughts in my head surrounding the rebranding before having written the post to you all. After lots of hours spent thinking and discussing the whole thing with friends and family we have come to a mutual decision – one which we are very happy with and is the best reflection of the brand and where we want to take it. We are very much looking forward to our new chapter and hope you will all continue to show your support and can’t wait to share this new stage of our adventure with you all!
So without further ado – let me introduce you to…
Why we chose what we chose?
I spoke at length with a number of people in the run up to our rebranding this evening. We felt that this was the most accurate representation of our brand and what we have built so far. Moving forward this feels the best fit for us. We do not want to limit ourselves just to Britain, we have a number of international readers and work with a number of international brands.
This also allows us to form a number of handles should we choose and opens up a number of avenues.
As you can see, the website has already changed to the new name. We will be changing our social media handles later this evening too.
We still want to show our appreciation for those who submitted their suggestions and so further to a massive thank you for sending me all your ideas, our favourite was sent in by Jessica Vant.
As a thank you, you will receive a free copy of our Winter issue; In The Country releasing early November.
Whilst this is a massive step for us – we are really excited to see what the future holds and with some even more exciting prospects lined up for Issue 2 things are going from strength to strength here.
It will no doubt take some getting for used to, for you and me! But I will be here to help you guys out. I hope I can continue to see you supporting the brand as we move into our new chapter as ‘In The Country’ we look forward to having you. After all, without you – we wouldn’t be where we are. So thank you!
Until next time,
Lots of love,
P.S. The website is not fully changed over yet, so please bear with us over the next day or two whilst we make the full transition.
