Hopefully, you will have seen on Instagram during last week’s amazing Badminton Horse Trials that I was lucky enough to have been asked to run an Instagram take over for County Equestrian Jewellers. Answer – of course a resounding YES!
You may also have seen that back in January my lovely and very generous other half surprised me with the beautiful sterling silver ‘Horse Leg and Hoof Bangle’ which I had fallen in love with at Burghley last year.
Then, just last week whilst talking to the guys at CEJ they told me there was a matching ring.
WAIT – what?! How have I only just found out?!
I wore the two together on the Saturday of Badminton, and they looked fab.
For me, personally, I like my jewellery to be quite small, simple and subtle. I think sometimes this can make for the best statement piece.
The design is a real show stopper in itself. The detail that has gone into the hooves, on both pieces might I add, is incredible.
To really add to the uniqueness of the bangle Chris has added a matt finish to the legs (these can be made without the matt finish if you would prefer).
I personally love it, I think it really gives the bangle an edge and makes it stand out whilst still being a stunningly sophisticated piece.
Here – comes the really mind blowing bit, to me anyway. Being the down to earth country bumpkin I am, when I first saw it although I loved it, I was puzzled as to how to get it on and off.
Simple – by simply pushing the ‘hooves’ away from each other opening the gap up you can easily and comfortably slip the bangle on and off. Although it terrified me to do so the first time as I was worried I would break it – trust me – you won’t!
Excuse the farm/horse girl finger nails, but it is seriously impractical for me to paint them or have acrylics as much as I would love too, my country lifestyle just don’t really allow for it. They last all of about two minuets before they either chip or snap!
The ring is very similar, in the way it is designed and also the way it can be adjusted. However it doesn’t have the matt finish on the legs.
The two compliment each other perfectly. I hope you’ll agree.
I am wearing the Horse Leg & Hoof Bangle and ring plus the Small Snaffle Bit Chain Bracelet as well as a piece from the brand new collection!
You can shop these pieces at https://www.equestrianjewellers.co.uk/ with a snazzy new website!
On a slightly separate note, I have been chosen as a finalist for the ‘Country Style Blogger of The Year’ award. If you have enjoyed this post and/or (hopefully both) any other blog posts I have done I would really appreciate your support.
