Evening everyone. I very much hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have successfully consumed your body weight in festive food and drink.
If you have our latest issue (Winter) then you will most likely have noticed the appearance of a few Dubarry products on the front cover and within our AW 17 Fashion Shoot. Following this, a couple of months ago, I was lucky enough to be chosen to be part of Dubarry’s Christmas Campaign, and you may have seen my much loved Clare Country Boots feature on the various social media accounts over the past couple of weeks in support of this.
Featured on our cover, Rosie wears the elegant Chamomile Ladies Country Shirt by Dubarry, available online here. RRP £69.00
I have always been in awe of Dubarry products however I will openly admit until now, I have never really been in the position to buy a pair of their boots. One thing that I have really come to learn is that you don’t just ‘buy‘ a pair of Dubarry Boots… They are an investment.
Granted, I have only had mine for a couple of months now BUT it has become apparent that with the correct care, these boots will last years and truly are worth their weight in gold.
Here is a closer look at the Clare Country Boots (RRP £349.00) from Dubarry of Ireland – which I have had the privilege to put to the test in the Sussex countryside.
The Clare boot has an obvious equestrian influence in it’s design. They have a leather pad on the inside of each boot, which you can see below, to help protect against wear. In addition to this, the boots have been designed with a substantial tread on the sole of the boots and a moderate heel, making these boots suitable to ride in – should you wish.
I love how the boots hug my leg and offer excellent support for my heel. My foot is supported undoubtedly and I wouldn’t think twice about spending the day in these out in the country or clay shooting for the day.
As well as looking and feeling fab, these boots perform well too. Lined with GORE-TEX® these boots are also waterproof as well as breathable – which are two must haves when looking for the ideal pair of country boots. The last thing you want is to fork out a substantial amount of money on a pair of boots only to find out that they aren’t waterproof and your feet get clammy within just a few hours of wear… take it from me. You live and you learn.
The Clare Country Boots are made with DryFast–DrySoft™ leather, which means you can get themwet without having to worry about waiting hours for them to dry out.
I can safely say, after having used these boots on various occasions over the last couple of months that I am in love and really do feel that – if you are looking for a long lasting, stylish and comfortable pair of all round country boots, then these are definitely worth the investment.
Dubarry have all bases covered and also provide their own leather care products to help you look after your investment as best you can. You can shop the range here.
You may have seen also, that I ventured up to London at the end of November for the launch of Dubarry’s new collection at their flagship store in Sloane Square. As I am sure you can imagine… I had to try very hard to contain myself. The delicious nibbles and complimentary bubbles kept my card at bay.
Here are a few images from the event:
It was lovely to meet and catch up with the girls behind the brand, some of whom I have met at various shows this past year. If you head over to Dubarry of Ireland you can shop the Winter sale and it’s a good one! With up to 40% off selected items from now until the 4th of January 2018, I would definitely recommend taking a look.
Until next time…
Lots of love,
