I would like to introduce my new brand love for the time being! Hicks & Brown.
A luxury British clothing brand designed by two sisters. I think this is one big part of why I love it so much!
Being an entrepreneur myself, I am aware of the HUGE challenges I have faced and will continue to face on my adventures with ‘It’s A Country Life’ and so to stumble across a thriving, independent and young British brand who have been through the struggles I am (and many of you are now too I am sure!) and are continually growing in their fan base and their stunning collections, I just can’t help but support them and express how much I love the products!
I mentioned them briefly in my Burghley Style Guide; but I wasn’t fully aware of the story behind the name at that point – I just fell in love with the Fedoras they have designed.
Their celebrated pop-up shop tours the country throughout the year, visiting international equestrian events, prestigious country shows and Christmas fairs, and to critical acclaim, having won ‘Best Dressed Trade Stand’ at the 2016 Royal Windsor Show.
It was definitely a show stopper at Burghley this year too.
I am in love with the new Toscana Biker Gillet the girls have designed and created at their rural Suffolk Hicks & Brown HQ, making the products ever more timeless.
It is a unique take on the traditional Gillet that appears amongst almost every designer about this time every year! With so many gorgeous designs to choose from, from so many different names – what makes this one so different?
Well, it is made from Toscana Sheepskin and shaped to give us ladies that body hugging feel, a must with the autumn chill in the air! The Toscana also has a stylish ‘biker style zip’ as the girls have put it!
New in though – is this!
The Newmarket Dry Wax Puffer Jacket! Oh my goodness! You’re right when you say it is the ultimate must have for this autumn/winter. Made in one of my favourite colours – olive green it is a stylish luxury and PRACTICAL item.
The cream contrast lining gives a really heritage, country feel to the jacket.
‘Whether they are destined to be worn on the streets of Chelsea or amidst the shooting field,’ Alice and Rosie’s products are perfect for both!
Let me know if you own any of these beautifully British products. Xx
