Pregnancy, physio and pumpkin spice

October 22, 2016

Hello everyone - Hope you are all well and getting ready for winter!! It has been extremely cold In the mornings!!! Cant believe Christmas is so close, scary but so exciting!! Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year, my parents hate me for it. I start watching Christmas movies way to early and drive everyone insane.

The last few weeks have been crazy. I am now 24 weeks pregnant. I had my second scan and myself and Nick found out the gender of our baby. We are so excited that we are expecting a little boy in February! He is healthy and kicking me a lot. For the first time the other day Nick felt him kick which we were so happy about, Nick was getting frustrated he couldn’t feel anything yet I could, but finally he's strong enough to kick that hard that Nick can now feel every kick!!!

I've been getting quite sore on and off and worrying myself about it. My mum suggested I went and saw a doctor to put my mind at rest. Its such a strange feeling to explain. Some days its so sore I cant walk, my pelvis makes it impossible to do my usual day to day activities. I was mucking out everyday but its been making this pain flair up to much.

I finally found out I had SPD. I had heard of it before as one of my friends has it severely and causes her a lot of pain in her pregnancy. For those who haven’t heard of it, SPD stands for Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. Your pelvis is mainly formed of two pubic bones that curve round to make a cradle shape. The pubic bones meet at the front of your pelvis, at a firm joint called the symphysis pubis. During pregnancy, swelling and pain can make the symphysis pubis joint less stable, causing SPD. So overall it can be really painful. I am seeing a physio once a week and doing lots of exercises – mainly I am resting.

What does a bored, resting pregnant lady do? Ummmmm, I'm baking a lot and baking leads to eating. It’s a bad combination!!! I am however organizing my Christmas 'pamper party'!!

I am so excited, I absolutely love hosting parties. In my pamper party, my friend Emilie who owns her own salon locally is going to be doing mini treatments on the night and I will be selling the amazing Arbonne products. I've just revived the Christmas range and its incredible, I am so excited.

I will also be on the four seasons equestrian stand at Olympia this year selling Arbonne!! I hope to see some of you there!

This afternoon I am going to turn my bad cooking habits into good ones. I ordered some nutritional bits from Arbonne and have been given some yummy recipes to try which you can see below. If you want to try these recipes with Arbonne products please get in touch with me via
