I have been thinking of writing a post like this for a while now but have kept putting it off. But hey - life is too short. I hope you enjoy it!
After seeing a new blog on the scene by Poppy, the lovely lady behind the very honest and frank livinginwellies . It is refreshing to hear the 'real' story behind farm and country life.
So if you are a regular reader of my blog, or follow any of my social media accounts you will know there has been some discussion about a mysterious launch.
The more I talk about it the more real it becomes. We are starting to put pages together and are super excited to bring this exciting new magazine to you all! It will be subscription only and we will be running a competition shortly with the fabulous Sporting Hares.
To be in with a chance of winning, keep an eye on our social media accounts!
The girl behind the blog....
Well after 5 months of blogging, our following is growing day by day and I am increasingly aware that I know quite a bit about all of you through your photos and posts but you don't know much about me.
I am a 21 year old, Sussex living, country loving bumpkin.
I was the 'pony mad' girl at school, with the gappy front teeth, not the most popular combination.
Everything I did revolved around ponies.
I have 2 sisters, a miniature dachshund a 17.3hh 5 year old.
Hugely supportive mumma and dadda (who suffers from a hugely rare genetic condition leaving him wheelchair bound) - I am a total daddy's girl. Sorry no sorry!
He is my inspiration for life.
I am not blessed with the gift of riches.
I work for every penny I have, I think the thing that sets me aside from a number of these other country bloggers is that I cannot afford to spare £300 on a pair of boots, or £500 on a fur jacket as much as I would love too.
My wages go on my horse, running my car and depressingly paying off my university debts!
Every product I have been sent, to either feature and return or to keep for ongoing coverage is appreciated whole heartedly.
I know it may sound soppy but to me, every brand that has sent products has shown their support for my vision. & That means the world to me.
5 months ago when I started this blog I had no idea how much interest and support I would receive. I cannot wait to show you the first issue because there are some amazing brands onboard who believe in our journey and what we want to achieve, so if any of you are reading this, thank you!
The inspiration behind the blog...
This one is a bit more tricky... I don't really know where it came from.
I have never been good at keeping dairies, but during my time in NZ I kept a diary almost every day - although it was more of a story of the last couple of years. Something for me to look back on in years to come.
My life then (and two years up until then) was a bit of a drama to say the least and so I guess I thought people might be interested in what I was going through as let's face it - we are a nosy bunch!
I had always thought blogs were pretty silly and never really understood them...until I started mine. Since then I have become immersed into the blogging world which is FAR bigger than I first thought.

It's not about the likes...
If any of you are bloggers yourselves hopefully this one will resonate with you.
Today I was message by an aspiring blogger looking for some advice on getting collabs etc.
Along the way I have regularly said to myself and to my other half, is it even worth it.
I don't feel like anyone is even seeing what I am writing, or liking my posts on social media.
I have to take a break sometimes and just think that it isn't about the likes, it is about the content.
If I enjoy writing it (which I do) and it reaches just one of you who actually enjoy reading it then for me that is enough.
Anything more is just a bonus!
I often get discouraged when I look at other bloggers with 1000's of followers, but then I think to myself I stepped into this world totally blind.
No one knew me - I am a just a little southern girl.
A huge number of country bloggers seem to be from the midlands or up in the north of the country and seem to know each other.
1000 Instagram followers might not sound a lot in comparison but to me, I am grateful to each and everyone. Your are helping me achieve my aspirations.
I can't tell you too much about the launch yet! But I promise I will do soon.
I would really appreciate some feedback on this kind of post - should I do more.
Would you like more personal posts?
Lots of love, Hollie-Ella Xx
