Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is in sight and I can't wait it is set to be a good one!
(Excuse the chipped glittery nails. Ooops!)
This week I have been busy working on a little collaboration with Susie Watson Designs and if like me you adore mugs and gorgeous kitchenware then this is the brand for you! I don't even have a beautiful, big kitchen but my collection of country inspired mugs and cups is growing at a rate of knots.
Susie's designs are timeless and an absolute joy to behold. Susie describes them as "elegant, yet warm. I always say that homes are for living in and not just looking at. The relaxed nature of my collection means that our designs work for kitchen living and modern family life, creating looks that are warm and welcoming, yet stylish. I have an almost obsessive love of colour and fascination with form and balance, which play a huge part in what I do. My influences come from both the palette of the English Countryside and my travels; this combination makes for unique, interesting designs that always have an English feel.It was the idea of art in the everyday that inspired my first pottery collection; a beautiful mug can bring you as much pleasure, if not more, than a piece of art on your walls."
To kickstart our working relationship, I approached Susie Watson Designs about featuring one of their gorgeous mugs and what better one to choose than this; Guinea Fowl Straight Mug, £18.00 and can be ordered online at; www.susiewatsondesigns.co.uk < I have linked the product.
This mug was inspired by the 'pretty speckled plumage' of Guinea Fowl and is both handmade and hand painted by the Susie Watson team. It is a stunningly simple product featuring neutral colours which I utterly love and it is both microwave and dishwasher safe.
The mug itself is a unique shape, it's slightly shorter than your average tea mug would be but it is perfect, the handle is super comfy and is the ideal mug for daily use with an added touch of elegance.
It is also THE perfect companion for coffee breaks and catching up with the latest issue of In The Country Magazine as I am finally getting a chance to do here.
In addition to a love for china and ceramics, Susie has a passion for interiors and it is this along with many years of re-vamping houses that inspired her to launch an interiors collection. From kitchen to bathroom, bedroom to boot-room, Susie Watson Designs has thought of it all and the collection is absolutely stunning.
I am lucky enough to have one of Susie's stores in my local town and often we will visit for a browse to gain some interior inspiration and view the latest collection in awe. The quality and luxury of the products really is second to none and when you have the opportunity to see and feel this for yourself, it really is quite dangerous. Bank cards should be left at home unless you're planning on treating yourself, I cannot be held responsible for the rapid decrease in your bank balance after visiting one.
There are a few of Susie's stores dotted around the country and I have listed them here for you incase you wanted to discover the collection for yourself; Alresford, Chichester, Harrogate, Marlborough, Marlow, Saffron Waldon, Salcombe, Sherborne and Tunbridge Wells.
In addition to the beautiful Guinea Fowl Straight Mug, I also had the pleasure of being able to share two of Susie's cushions with you all. With Autumn coming up and the return of the Game Season, I thought that the iconic Embroided Pheasant Cushion would be the most appt.
Handmade and delicately embroiled free hand, this beautiful Pheasant Cushion is the perfect addition to country homes this Autumn. Edged on a rustic linen with a luxurious silk lining and costing £72 this really is a timeless, country-inspired cushion of dreams; a timeless investment.

There will be a blog post on this coming very soon...
Until next time...
Lots of love,
