First up, we have the 'Berr-ilicious Boost':
- 1 cup (100g) of granola
- 1 cup (227g) Greek yoghurt with honey
- 200g mixed berries (we used fresh raspberries and blueberries)
In two half-pint jars, glasses or small bowls, layer the yoghurt, granola and berries. Yoghurt first, then granola and lastly, top with the berries.
Yep, it is as simple as that. This is perfect for serving immediately or alternatively, if you want to plan ahead and save some time in the morning, you can store in the fridge over night.
Followed by the 'Mango Madness Protein Smoothie':
- 1 fresh, ripe mango chopped
- 1/2 cup Greek yoghurt with vanilla
- 1/2 fresh orange, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 banana chopped
- 1/4 passion fruit chopped
- 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
Simply blend all of the ingredients together until you have achieved a smooth texture. You can add some ice to the mixture to keep it cool. This can then be decanted into bottles for you to take with you on the way to work, the yard, on the school run etc. Store in fridge to keep chilled.
Our stunning recipe images have been taken by the extremely talented Nicole Hains. We hope this has given you a little bit of morning inspiration. It's not always easy to kick-start the day in the best possible way, or to give our bodies the fuel they need to keep us going throughout the day. Sometimes we just need a little reminder or a nudge in the right direction...
Until next time,
Lots of love,
